Annapurna Guides is an trekking enterprise with a base in Pokhara. The operators are Khar Bahadur & Kumar Poon. We are both long-term residence of Pokhara and have ties in the mountains and knowledge of the region that is second to none. Between us we have over 30 years worth of solid guiding experience. We both speak fluent English as well as bits of many other languages. We work independently with experienced and reliable porters and we also carry a backpack along side the porter.

For US$15 a day per person for each guide we will take you to your chosen destination. You will have the confidence in knowing that not only will you arrive to your destination safely, you will also experience the Annapurna section of the Himalaya in all its majesty every step of the way. We will take you to the best lodges and you will have the best meals. Accommodation and meals/drinks are at your own cost.
We have a proven track record to get people to their destination and back with great decision making skills, a wonderful sense of humour and humility. We have many stories to tell you on the trip and we sing local songs for you to entertain you along the way. You will be given the flexibility to change your trekking plans as they suit you but you will also know that we will make the important decision for you when they are needed on the trek. We will spur you on when you feel tired. We will motivate you when you feel spent but ultimately your safety is paramount to us.
We will show you the Nepalese culture and introduce you to the locals along the way where you can enjoy some cultural interaction. On the trek you will find the Nepalese people are a warm, hospitable and funny bunch. They welcome trekkers graciously and you feel part of the community immediately. Any question about the trek or the region will be more than adequately addressed. We will also take you to places like Poon Hill (3200 metres).
For US$30 (US$35 for Annapurna Circuit) a day per person per guide you may purchase a package that includes all accommodation at tea houses plus meals & hot showers where available. Alcoholic beverages and mineral water are not included. It may be cheaper to pay as you go but with this package you can always choose the best food and we will take you to the best accommodation. You also have the convenience of not having to worry about money while on the trek.
The only request that we have is for you to allow a very small amount of space in your backpack for our items.
You will walk away from this experience with us in the amazing environment a new person with a new appreciation for life and most importantly, for yourself.
